Common problems

What is the password?
The password is listed under the VM on the VMware images page. Look for "Notes: ". The username is usually "root" or "notroot", but check under the description.

The password is wrong!
The password is correct: if you were prompted to create an account at boot, login with that account.

root doesn't work!
Log in as a different user: if you created an account at boot, use that. Once logged in, change to root with su - .
